Welcome to Ulead DVD Runtime Player
	The Ulead DVD Runtime Player is an easy-to-use, multimedia control center allows anyone who has a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM to view Ulead video content regardless of whether or not that user has a stand-alone DVD or VCD player. The DVD Runtime player is embedded into the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM that has been created by Ulead Video Software (Ulead?Video Studio 5, Ulead®DVD MovieFactory?and Ulead? Picture Show, Ulead?MediaStudio?Pro 6.5...etc.) to play DVDs, VCDs, SVCD, and miniDVDs.
	Getting Started
	To use the player, simply insert the disc into your CD-ROM drive. If the CD doesn't run automatically then use Internet Explorer to browse file CNEPLAY.EXE in the drive that corresponds to your CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.

	Function   Description Shortcut Key Play Begins playback of media. 'Enter' key       Return to Top Pause   Pauses the content playback. Press Pause or Play to resume playback. Space bar       Return to Top Stop   Stops content playback. S       Return to Top Rewind   Rewinds the content while playing a DVD. Press Rewind: Once to activate Rewind at two times (2x) the normal playing speed. Twice to activate Rewind at 4x. Three times to activate Rewind at 8x. Press the Play button to resume playback at normal speed. B       Return to Top Fast Forward   Fast Forwards the content while playing a DVD. Press Fast Forward once to activate Fast Forward at two times (2x) the normal playing speed. Twice to activate Fast Forward at 4x (DVD only). Three times to activate Fast Forward at 8x. Press the Play button to resume playback at normal speed. F       Return to Top               Return to Top Menu Functions       Next   Advances the playback to the next chapter. N       Return to Top Previous   Moves the playback to the previous chapter. P       Return to Top Show Title Menu   Displays the main title menu of the disc. T       Return to Top Show Chapter Menu   Displays the chapter menu for selected title. M       Return to Top Numeric Selection keys   Used when playing VCDs. Press the chapter number that you would like to play then press the 'Enter' button.         Return to Top Arrow keys   Used to make selections on the DVD Title and Chapter menu. Click the 'Enter' button to start playback of the selected title or chapter.         Return to Top Enter   Enter Inputs the selection made when using the 'Arrow keys' or the 'Numeric Selection Keys'.         Return to Top Repeat   Repeats current Chapter or Title. Press 'Repeat' once to repeat current chapter (DVD only). Press 'Repeat' twice to repeat current title.   R               Return to Top Window Functions             Return to Top Minimize   Minimizes the display the DVD Runtime Player.   Ctrl+N       Return to Top Window Selector   Selects the size of the content display window. There are three options: Small-window, Medium-window (VCD only) and Full-Screen. You may also resize the display window by dragging the edge of the display window to the desired size.   W       Return to Top Help   Displays the help file. F1        Return to Top Eject   Opens the CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, drive for removal of a disc.   Ctrl+E       Return to Top Power Button   Exits DVD Runtime Player and terminates the program.   Ctrl+X       Return to Top  About button   Shows program information about DVD Runtime Player.   Ctrl+A       Return to Top Volume Controls                     Return to Top Volume Up   Increases the volume level.   +       Return to Top Volume Down   Decreases the volume level.   -       Return to Top Mute   Mutes the audio track. Press the Mute or either of the Volume Control buttons to resume audio.   Ctrl+M                  Display Area                     Return to Top Play Progress Bar   Visually displays elapsed time of content played.         Return to Top Current Media Type Displays the current media type (such as DVD/VCD/SVCD).       Return to Top Repeat Status Displays the status of Repeat.     Chapter is set to repeat.   Title is set to repeat.       Return to Top Playback Mode Displays current playback mode.   The content is being played.   The content is paused.   The content has been stopped.         Return to Top Playback Speed Displays current playback speed.   Fast Forwarding at 2x.   Fast Forwarding at 4x.   Fast Forwarding at 8x.   Rewinding at 2x.   Rewinding at 4x.   Rewinding at 8x.         Return to Top Current Title Displays current title number.         Return to Top Current Chapter Displays current chapter number.         Return to Top Playing Time Displays elapsed time in hours, minutes, and seconds.         Return to Top Volume Display Displays current volume level.         Return to Top

	Title and Chapter Selection The chapter controls used to play VCDs are different from the ones used to select chapters for DVD. Playing DVDs Making a Title selection If there is more than one Title in your DVD you may right-click the Title button. A pop-up menu will display the list of titles and you may click on the title that you wish to play. Making a Chapter selection You may make a chapter selection on a DVD in three different ways 1. Using your cursor on the video display, click on the chapter that you want to play. 2. Using the arrow keys on the right hand side of the DVD controller, select the chapter that you want to play and press the 'Enter' button. 3. If the DVD is already playing and you would like to select a different chapter you may right-click on the 'Play' button or the Chapter button of the DVD controller. A pop-up menu will display the list of chapters and you may click on the title that you wish to play. Playing VCDs To make a chapter selection on a VCD press the 'Chapter Button' to display a list of chapters on the visual display window. Use the 'Numeric Selection Keys' to enter the number of the chapter that you would like to view. Press the 'Enter' key.
